Thank you for considering a donation to Royal & Derngate. We are marking a special time in our calendar as we celebrate the Derngate auditorium turning 40 years old.

Your support is invaluable in ensuring we’re able to deliver the best theatre-going experience possible, enjoying the best live performances from around the world. Your generosity enables us to continue our community, education and outreach projects, particularly with children and young people.

As part of our Derngate 40 campaign, we are targeting a fundraising total of £100,000. This is a great opportunity to get involved as we look towards the next four decades, as we refresh our theatre seats, provide pathways for burgeoning young creatives to develop their passion, and make further advances in making our theatre an accessible venue for all.

Our bursaries provide financial support to young people, allowing them to engage in our youth theatre activities and community led programmes. Our programmes offer invaluable industry insight and provide the trigger for potential future career opportunities in the creative industries.

Our Derngate seats have been home to many a laugh, gasp, cry, and ‘encore!’ over the years. Over 6 million visitors have passed through our doors since our 2006 refurbishment, and with your help future theatregoers can enjoy our shows in comfort, in an auditorium at the top of its game.

Royal & Derngate offers regular access performances to many of our Made in Northampton and touring productions. We offer audio described, BSL interpreted, captioned, and relaxed performances. Your support enables existing and additional services to be offered, to make our theatre accessible for all.

Once your donation has been received it will be equally proportioned to help support our three campaigns. If you have a preference for your donation to go towards one of our three specific fundraising campaigns, then please contact Chris Smith our Development Manager development@royalandderngate.co.uk in order for it to be allocated to the correct fund.
